Easter

No sooner were birthdays over and we were on to Easter. March and April are kind of full months for us with special activities. Aiden, who is all about understanding the order of things would constantly ask me what was next...first Mommy's birthday, then Aiden's birthday..."then what Mom?" Poor Jude just assumed it was always somebodies birthday, and was even still last week telling me happy birthday for our 10th anniversary. :)
We tried some different egg dying techniques this year. Instead of dipping the egg into the classic Dudley's egg dye...we dripped sparkly egg color into a sack and smeared it around the egg. Wes and I were a bit disappointed...there's not so much magic in smearing. But the boys had fun...
And Aiden enjoyed the q-tips that had color in them...which was a bit more like coloring and could create lots of unique patterns...except he mostly just colored the whole egg one color. :) Both boys were proud of the finished product.
The egg hunt was pretty fun this year. Jude caught on quick to what he had to do and both boys collected quite a few eggs.
After the egg hunt was finished and the boys had found their baskets (hidden next to our resident bunnies' house under the studio of course. Don't you know the Easter bunny visits his friends?) I attempted to take nice pictures of both Aiden and Jude. Nice pictures...what in the world was I thinking. Just look at their faces...
...now look at what's in their hands...
....ahhh yes....
now we know what they were thinking about, and why a pretty smile for Mom was next to impossible.
Happy Easter!
At least Elcie and Mable are showing peace and goodwill towards men...errr dogs...or is that Christmas? It all applies right? :)
