So it turns out that I'm not very good at taking pictures when actual "events" are going on. I was just slightly annoyed when I uploaded my camera pictures to see that I had zero photos on my camera of my little nephew Wyatt and Mom had all of may-be six!! Ugh - note to self, get better at that!! And although I wasn't the greatest at taking photos, apparently my eldest did a fair job, we just need to redirect his focus to people now. :) LINK In the photo below, Mr. Wyatt was not so patient with his cousin's method of handling. :)
He was much happier stretched out on the floor in PJ's.
This past weekend was Grandma Cosaert's 85th birthday. It was a quick trip to Corning, but we packed a lot in. Including a trip to Aunt Carol's and Uncle Doug's to check out the progress on their farm house remodel. Aiden got a ride on the mower.
And we picked a few apples from their tree. It was getting close to lunch and all of us were eating away at our apples. When Aunt Janet handed Jude a little apple of his own to play with, he decided to join the taste testing. He ate a whole little apple of his own. It was sooo cute seeing him chomp away, trying to be like the big people.
Grandma's birthday party was in the park. Aunt Elaine was there from Washington, Luther's drove all the way from Texas and of course all of the Nebraska and Missouri and Eastern Iowa folk were there. It was a great time. Aiden and his 2nd cousins Madison and Samantha playing in the "dirt," and having fun. He and the girls ran around all afternoon, hopping jungle gyms and having a generally good time.
Little guy was so worn out at the end of the day that after driving back to Williamsburg, we were able to unhook his car seat (with him in it) and move it from Mom and Dad's suburban to our trailblazer...with him sleeping the entire time. When we got home, we woke him up to switch him into his PJ's and then he went right to bed. :)
left to right, from youngest to oldest: Aunt Elaine, Uncle Jeanine, Dad, Uncle Richard, and Aunt Linda. And of course Grandma Mary front and center.
Happy Birthday Grandma!!
