Another Birthday

This past weekend we had the opportunity to spend some time in Corning. My Aunt Linda (Mom's oldest sister) passed away, and although we were there for a sad reason it was good to bond together as a family. Thursday evening we grilled burgers and steaks at Aunt Carol and Uncle Dougs house. It was a good time to hang out and enjoy the weather and eachother's company.

Aiden had so much fun on the farm!! Here he is with Aunt Carol trying to find the cow that likes peppermints. :) He also got to see cousin Clayton's race car, see a calf being born, cows getting their vaccines and got to drive a tractor with Uncle Doug. Friday morning he was just itching to get outside and do some farming. He ate three helpings of Aunt Corrinn's eggs and ran to the back bedroom, had his PJ's off and was ready to get dressed for the day. So at about 7:30 in the morning he and Wes were outside walking in the cold morning air, exploring the barns, checking out the tractor tracks in the mud and commenting on the cow poop. :)
Yesterday was our little guy's 3rd birthday. Can you believe that Aiden is already 3!! In the morning we went to Story Hour down at the Iowa City library again. It was kind of a rainy day, but Aiden sure didn't care if he got rained on (I'll catch it in my mouth he told me) and Jude could be entirely covered with a blanket so we braved the elements and made the trip. Aiden had lots of fun and brought home a pile of books for the week.
That evening I asked him what he wanted for his birthday dinner. This was kind of a big question for our lofty age of 3 and so he replied "mashed potata!" And so I suggested meatballs and he said, YEA!! So meatballs we had and he loved them. :) Wes brought home a mini cake from the Hy-Vee so we had cake and ice cream and opened a couple of presents. It was a nice easy evening together all four of us. Happy 3rd Birthday Aiden Cooper!!
On a side note - we had the boy's photos taken on Monday and the proofs are suppose to be online sometime today. Here is the link to Envisage Studios. And the password is "Reynolds" The proofs will only be up for a week so don't delay in picking out the pictures that you like!! I don't know prices for photos yet, but will email you with all of that info soon.
