A Tour and a Birthday

Last week Mom, Jude, Aiden and I got to go on a tour of Prairie 7-8-9. A giant of a school that both Wes and I worked on. Wes has over seen the whole project from start to finish...well almost finish. I think it still might have a few weeks left. We walked around for an hour and a half and still didn't get to see the whole thing!! These are a few photos of the front lobby.
And Mr. Aiden on the bench that you see in the first photo.
I had a nice birthday on Saturday (the numbers on the cake give away my age). Actually Aiden helped with the numbers...when they were putting them on the cake Aiden said to Wes, "What is this 2 for?" So I think this next year we will work on recognizing our numbers and letters since we pretty much have our alphabet down and can count to 13. :) For my birthday I did a little yarn and fabric shopping on my own which was a nice treat to be able to brouse without racing the naptime or bottle clock. :) The boys made me a strawberry cake and in the evening they sang to me and we all celebrated together.

Aiden helped put the candles on. Here is his little grouping below. :)
Jude wanted to try some cake. His little fingers reached right out when we were taking the photo above. Aiden was a little anxious about digging his hands into his first birthday cake. I don't think Jude is going to have this same problem. :)
Instead of cake Jude got to try his first puff. You can hear Aiden in the video below "encouraging" him. "Do it Jude!! Do it!!" He was so excited for Jude to try a puff. :) I accidently shot the video sideways and can't rotate it...I do this periotically when I'm not thinking. So tilt your head slightly and hopefully you don't get a crick in your neck. :)
