Relaxing and Working

One morning a few weeks ago, I decided to put my feet up and knit one morning while Aiden was in school. I had things to get done...but that morning relaxing took priority. I believe Jude understood the essence of what I was going after. :) I was knitting, and then realized that Jude wasn't making his usual amount of Jude noises. He had drug his "monkey" (that's what he calls his blankie) downstairs and crashed on the floor while he was playing. This doesn't happen too often for a little guy who's normally on the go! Pretty cute!!

Brothers bonding while watching Bob the Builder. At the end of a day, sometimes ya have to kick up your feet and watch a little TV.

...and may-be give Mom a fake smile for the camera.

We also got almost all of the floor done on the porch. We chose to use old Purlington Pavers. They were made in Galesburg, Illinois and used to be an old street in Chicago...love the history and the idea that horse and buggies, and old model A's probably use to drive over these bricks.

I later read that each one of these bricks weighs nine pounds. I'm kind of glad I didn't know that while we were working. It might have been the reason our arms were crying for advil by bedtime. :) Doesn't it look great though!! Spent an hour knitting out there this afternoon. Loved it!!
Painted the old green door orange.
My favorite color welcomes me home now. Love that too. :)
