Christmas at Home

This was our first Christmas at home with the boys. And since it was a week after Christmas we were planning on making a special phone call to Santa to see if he would make an extra trip to our house. Unfortunately we've all been a bit on the sick side and our past few evenings have been slightly on the short side of sleep...so we decided to forgo with the anticipation. And instead we just popped the surprise on Sunday morning. They didn't object. :)

They crack me up...Aiden is crazy excited, and Jude is more focused on getting breakfast in the kitchen and dealing with his brother who keeps yelling in his face. But, once he gets a little closer to the tree he realizes what all the hype was about. We couldn't get him to look at the camera for anything. :)

What did the boys get this year? Oh...cars, planes and trains of course. A remote control dinosaur got a lot of ooo's and ahh's. A sheriff Woody doll, a flying Buzz Lightyear and Woody set, a farmer game, a space rocket, Duplo Lego's, and various other things that I'm sure I'm forgetting. We've had several solid on the floor playing the past couple of days. Aiden has his wooden tracks back in the living room and spread out...and Jude is kind of digging the two new four wheelers and the dinosaurs. The tree came down yesterday afternoon along with all of the other Christmas decorations. Both Wes and I hate taking down the holiday things, somehow they make the house seem cozier. Aiden really seemed to notice it this morning as well and needed a full explanation of where the tree went and of course, "Why?" And then he wanted to know when Easter was coming. Soon, little man...soon. :)
