The last several weeks have been so busy for us with coming home from Colorado, family visiting and a deadline at work. So these past couple of days we've been taking it a bit easy. There have been a few runny noses lately as well and so our way of "willing" colds away has been with some rest and tons of water. Aiden has claimed the blanket below as his couch blanket. Every time I try to fold it up and put it away he claims it's, "Aiden's cold blanket" and drags it back out.
Mabel never complains about the slow days. Come to think of it, her busy work days look almost exactly like the picture below!! :)
This has been my little nesting nook. Working away on my toothbrush rug...coffee nearby.
Jude has no intention of following the rules of our slow day. Slow is sooooo not part of is vocabulary right now. In fact he seems to be finding new things to get himself into every day!! :) The photo below is one of his new proud accomplishments. His first climbing achievement for sure not his last if he follows in his brother's foot steps.
In this corner he has discovered he can stick his hand down the register and yank leaves off of Mom's plants. Hmmm
And this morning he discovered that Mom had a few graham crackers on her knitting table. (Much better than him grabbing my rug scraps and pulling them all over the floor). :)
I've been working on my toothbrush rug for several months now, and even though it's not finished it's already seeing it's fair share of use....even while it's being worked on. The circles of color make for a great race track, and Aiden's little cars have been putting on the miles lately!! Jude likes to use the rug as a rag for wiping his sticky cookie fingers on. Humph.
Here is the progress so far. It's much bigger than what you could put at a door...but still not as big as I would like to have it for the studio. We'll see how far I get before I burn out...so far I'm having a lot of fun with it though.
I MISS YOU GUYS!!! I so wish I was sitting with you in your living room, chatting, drinking coffee & working on projects together. The boys are getting so big & growing up so fast!!! =( I'm missing it all. Keep blogging. Keep posting pics. I love it! Love your rug too. Maybe over Thanksgiving or Christmas you'll have to show me how you make it. That would be a fun project for sometime down the road. LOVE YOU LOTS!!!!!!!!!
