July 4th Weekend

Our front porch got a make over on the July 4th weekend. Mary, Terry, Annie and Frank traveled our direction to help us with a few projects around the house. The old porch got a new roof with copper flashing and a beautiful coat of cream paint. The old screen door was taken off and will soon be replaced by a new, old looking screen door. There's a bit more copper flashing that needs to be added right at the top of the roof and then we'll catch the trim around those high windows as well.
The porch ceiling is now a beautiful shade of blue thanks to Annie, Frank and Wes. This was suppose to be my task...and I got about 3 feet painted before my back decided it wasn't going to cooperate any more. I spent the rest of the weekend and a good portion of the following week laying horizontal between trips to the chiropractor.
Apparently there was other craziness and mayhem going on when I wasn't looking. I have heard stories of when Wes got to visit Annie and of getting to do things that weren't allowed when mom was around. Ahem
Perhaps somebody needs to teach poor little Jude bear not to pose for the camera when he is committing such acts. Look at that little fist in the air. If he could talk I think he would have been yelling, "YES!!"
