Aiden's pick up line...

I forgot to share this story with all of you. Some of you have heard it already, but it's too funny not to put up on the blog:

Mr. Aiden has a joke he's been telling lately. It consists of him leaning into sombody's face and bellowing "mashed potata!!!" And then of course you are suppose to laugh back, or reply with "meat ball" or whatever other funny word you can think of. He gets this joke from the Toy Story 2 movie when the Mr. Potato Head doesn't want to cross the street because he doesn't want to be a mashed potato. It's a funny part of the movie, and Aiden always laughs...it's just the whole context thing he's missing. :)

So anyway, at one of our recent Hawkeye basketball games a family sat in front of us that had a little girl (may-be 6 months older than Aiden). She stared at Aiden for the longest time without him even noticing. But when he did notice, he went in with his super joke. Repeatedly he shared his joke "mashed potata" with the girl, over and over. Sometimes even telling it to her practically nose to nose!! The pick-up line didn't get him too far, she didn't even say meatball. Let's all hope he can come up with something a little better when he's older!! :)
