This first photo is actually pre-Colorado visit...but I had to share it with you. I came out from the kitchen to find Aiden in a "comfy" position eating his pre-lunch snack. Sometimes he needs a little something to tide over the empty feeling in his tummy while Mom is fixing lunch. :)

Aunt Corrinn and Uncle Ankur have been visiting the past few days. We've been doing some good family bonding and just old fashioned hanging out. All Aunt Corrinn wanted to do this visit was hold Jude and go to Java house...and I think we've done a good job accomplishing both. Aunt Corrinn is smittin' with baby Jude and tried to make a swap - Jude for Allie...and we could swap back at Thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure she tried to make that same swap when Aiden was this size. Yeah....it didn't work then either. :)

Friday afternoon was beautiful fall weather so we took a walk up town Mt. Vernon, visited a few stores and ate a late lunch at a new Russian cafe. Aiden was king mooch, and as soon as everybody's food arrived he was shifting his chair close to sample the goods. He was all about Mom's soup - Russian Borsch which I was pretty amazed that he liked. Check out the recipe here -
LINK. Pretty good for a two year old!!

Jude enjoyed the fall weather sporting his new hat. This is one that I had knitted while on vacation in Colorado....it looked pretty cute!! Our other big event for the weekend was a visit to Carter's farm. Carter and Aiden are buddies and share a pretty serious love of all things tractor related!! Carter was nice enough to share his Dad and his seat in the new combine with Aiden. Wes got to go along for the ride as well. The boys were in heaven!! Wes said that in the combine Aiden went silent and was totally focused on farming!! Always fun to be had at the farm. :)
