Lots of good pictures

This weekend was Grandma Steadman's 80th birthday, and so we traveled to Corning to join in the surprise celebrations. The boys and I didn't actually get to participate since everything started at about 7pm...and that is bed time for Aiden. There would have been no chance of him being able to sit down to a nice dinner quite that late. But we had fun seeing everybody's pictures and hearing Grandma tell us all about the limo ride and how surprised she was the next day. :)
Both great-grandma's were also pretty excited to get to hold their new great grandson. And Jude was happy to oblige. :)
Before we left town we stopped by Aunt Janet's farm to pick apples and chase kitties. There was only on kitten that was tame enough for Aiden to pet, but he was more interested in chasing the wild ones around the yard. Aiden walked at a normal speed up to Aunt Jan's house...but the second he saw those cats those little legs were moving 90mph, disappearing around the corner of the house and making all of us laugh. Good thing the cats were faster!! Little man explored the farm, taking note of the tractor, bailer and 4-wheeler. He was all about sitting on the 4-wheeler (scrambler as he calls it) but the second we started talking about turning it on and taking him for a ride he wanted off. :) Still not a ride guy.
Picking apples was a lot of fun as well!! Aunt Jan's trees were absolutely full of red delicious and makintosh apples. Here Grandpa and Aiden are racing to the apple trees. That right arm really gets to pumping when he's booking it!! :)
Aiden did a pretty good job of helping, except the apples kind of had a rough landing in the box (might be a few bruised ones in there)...and then there were several apples that didn't even make it in the box!! :) Fun times on the farm!!

  1. Charrisse,

I'm so glad that you have this blog! It has been wonderful to read through and catch up on what you and your precious boys are up to. Adorable! And I was happy to have known about Jude's birth before my mom - ha! :)
