Extreme Home Makeover - Sewing Room

The sewing room adventure began here in the little building next to the house. The inside was a display / shop for the clock maker that use to live here. Paneling on the wall, brown carpet on the floor and ceiling tile that sagged in spots.
Work began Thursday morning with Annie tearing down shelves and trim, that afternoon Wes came home and he, Annie and Frank went to town pulling off walls, ceiling and carpet. You can see in the photo below what it looked like stripped down to it's bones.
The next day was spent doing practical things...insulating, electrical wiring, painting trim out in the garage. Before all of the insulation panels were up though we signed all of our names to the left of the door. What a crew we had helping us!!!
The next two days everything started to come together!! Wall paneling, bead board, outlets, ceiling paneling, and pretty pretty paint!! We even got electrical hooked up on Monday so we can actually turn on lights!
And although you can see we have a few small things to finish up, the space looks absolutely beautiful, way beyond anything that I could have dreamed!! Totally me. :) We had an amazing crew to help us. Not everybody has family that is willing to come and work so so hard to help out a son and daughter. Wes and I have been blessed with families that are always willing to come and take on our abundance of 'this old house' projects. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you....I can't say enough!!!
