Our Boy is Four

Our boy is four. Isn't it hard to believe?!?

We kept things kind of simple this week since the big birthday party is coming soon. On Tuesday Aiden helped me make birthday cupcakes. He is very good at telling me all of the ingredients and how many eggs that I need,

and mixing skills are improving.

We master the sampling skills at a young age. :)

Jude gave these cupcakes a big thumbs up!

We had plans to do a little park hopping for Aiden's birthday, but the weather didn't quite help us with that. So instead we headed to the Children's Museum which I think was equally good if not better. Aiden and Jude both had tons of fun.

And upstairs they had a kid size farm, equipped with a tractor, barn, produce stand and a field that could be planted.

Afterwards we enjoyed our bagels while watching the ice skaters.

The excitement wore our little four year old out...but he still had just enough energy to call grandma. :)

Energy perked up a bit when he found out he got to open presents after dinner. That and it was pretty cool getting to hold his cupcake while the candles were lit. Very big boy.

New trains were immediately put to good use hauling loads across the kitchen floor. I think our little Mr. Aiden had a good birthday, and there's more partying yet to happen.
