A New Level

Jude's been doing a little growing up as of late. He has been trying to expand his vocabulary(magnet, basket, basketball, mabel)- trying would be the key word here because these words are only ones that a Mom or Grandma would recognize. Big boy has also been practicing eating with a fork!!
At times it takes total concentration,
and looks like a bit of a competition. Jude vs. Fork...

but when it comes to food...Jude's got that one in the bag. Especially when it's fruit. Fruit and bread are still primarily what this boy eats. I've finally convinced him that string cheese is good. That took some doing. And now I'm going to have to figure out some kind of protein to add to his diet, something that sticks to his bones a little longer. I can't tell you how many times I get this little guy fed and full, and not an hour later he's reaching up for that fruit bowl hollering for something else to eat. Speaking of eating challenges, I have to share my little dirty secret with you. I'm tricking Aiden into eating vegetables. Yep, you read that right - VEGETABLES. Of course he thinks they are hamburgers and they are sort of...they're veggi-burgers, and with a little catchup he is totally siked about them and asks for seconds. It's one of those Mommy victories. Like eating the white stuff out of his Oreo when he was little. What he doesn't know won't hurt him, right? :) He he he.
Smile from Aiden. :)
When Mom came up last week I had to warn her, "Jude's at a whole new level of getting into things. Watch out." :) Jude has been wanting to be a bit more like big brother lately. So last week when Aiden was doing all of his Valentine creating Jude wanted to try some creating of his own. So,he figured out how to crawl up on the dining chairs...
and once he was on the dining chairs, well...why not just continue all the way up to the table.
Mommy then thought it would be wise to pull the baby back off the table instead of taking pictures. So Jude got set up with crayon and paper. He got the concept of crayon...just not paper. Again - so thankful for the old vinyl tablecloth. :)

  1. I LOVE that you are tricking Aiden into eating vegetables. My only question is are you eating yours?!?!?! I know how much you like green things. =) Love you & miss you lots! & I'm totally going to be giving your children oreo's for Christmas much like the Wheelers do for me since they feel sorry for me. =)
