Gardening and Sewing

Gardening and sewing, I love both but this summer baby has slowed down my activity in these two areas. But thanks to family...I still get to enjoy both!!
Now, I won't claim to being much of a vegetable gardener. Vegetables and I don't have the greatest relationship thanks to the "vegetables are gross" gene that I inherited from my father. :) But Mom planted a few starts in the neighbor's garden (planted on the new lot), and yesterday she got her first set of bounty from her labor. Two prize winning peppers and 3 cucumbers. Aiden helped her pick them and carry them to the house, but when it came to eating the cucumber he wasn't so excited. Yesterday evening I sliced a few pieces of cucumber for Aiden and I before dinner. I got him to try two bites and crunch them a bit....but his conclusion was less than positive. "Aiden no like cucumber," he said...so now I'm crossing my fingers that the "vegetables are gross" gene hasn't worked it's way to a third generation!! I've been waiting to take pictures of the sewing room...so beautiful and absolutely perfect for me!! My intention was to get the rest of my things sorted and put away and then to take photos when everything looked like something from a magazine. Evenings have a tendency to fill up for Wes and I though, and we haven't made it back out unfortunately. So you'll just have to look past the slight mess, because I really couldn't hold out sharing this space with you any longer!!

It is the best room ever...there's really nothing more to say. I couldn't improve on it if I wanted to. It's absolutely perfect!! And if I were left to my own efforts (especially this summer) this space would have never happened. It's all thanks to a ton of work, sweat and lots of love from family!! Thank-you all!!

ps. I added photos of Colorado from Mom's camera today to the same link below.
