A little of this...a little of that

Chalk the Walk was this weekend. Saturday morning started being rainy and cold, but later in the day the sun came out and people started showing up to work on their squares. I had an extra can of pumpkin in the pantry, and so Aiden and I made Dad a pumpkin pie this morning. Aiden helped with the stirring. He wanted to help with cracking the eggs, but I'm thinking we'll wait a few years until he gets to help with that...considering his Easter egg history and that those fingers like to sneak into his mouth too too quickly. :)

This was Aiden's stirring position...too cute!!

And I wanted to share how the landscaping is going in the back of the house. Here is the weeping cherry in it's new bed of cocoa mulch. We used some old Burlington bricks that Annie gave us a few years ago to line the edge of the drive way. They add a cool kind of Iowa history to the project that Wes and I love.
