With Aiden's 2nd birthday being on monday (notice our new big boy haircut), Wes and I decided to spend a special morning with Aiden. We started out early and took a ride in Daddy's truck...and we went to the dump. Pretty exciting hugh?!? To a two year old boy.....OH YEAH!! On the way out the door I asked Aiden if he wanted to get a donut for breakfast and he replied, "No! Go to the dump!!" So to the dump we went.
After the dump we were one of the early birds at the shopping mall. We stopped for break fast at Paneras and headed to the play area. Aiden and Mom have visited this area several times in the past month to help with our cabin fever and it has become a favorite place for little man. So today we brought Dad along with us and the two boys had fun bouncing around.
Then we did a little tractor driving with Bob the Builder!!
...rode in a car with a mouse...
and even made it on the merry-go-round. The merry-go-round lasted just long enough for Mom to take a picture. Then little man realized that there would be "movement" involved and wanted off immediately!! Oh well....may-be when we're five.
We headed to the children's museum next, which turned out to be a lot more fun than Wes and I expected. Next time we'll plan on spending a whole morning here. Wes and Aiden especially loved the science room where they got to roll golf balls down a giant roller coaster. Given the "I hate rides" gene that they both have, this may be the closest either of them actually get to being on a roller coaster!! Our next adventure was probably the absolute favorite of the whole morning. Little man got to sit in one of Grandpa's semi trucks. WOAH!!
Little man went nuts!! There were more gears and buttens than he could take in!!
It was a good morning....and on our way home (about 10 minutes after we were in the car) little man crashed and slept the whole way home!! A good Aiden day!
