Last night was the first game of the Hawkeye Basketball season!!!!
We talked about Herkie and the Hawkeyes all day long. Tried to learn the fight song....but the result was a "do do do" with no particular melody. He does have "ah Hawks" down pretty good though!! Here we are...pretty pumped about heading down to the game.
And here is my one and only picture from the game. Argh!! :( My newly charged battery gave me two pictures and pooped out, so I think I need to make a trip to the Best Buy soon. But as you can see, little man had loads of fun....as did the rest of us. Herkie was his favorite, followed closely by his ice cream cone....the cheer leaders were fun to watch as were the college students in the next section. :) All in all....it was a fun night and I think we've got a little fan who's loyalties definitely belong to the black and gold.
As a side note - we have some famous family among us!! Hershey, Cocoa Rose and Ollie made it to the front page of the LeMars Daily Sentinel!! Oh so famous!! Link HERE
